Amy Kubes received an MFA in photography from the Massachusetts College of Art and now lives in Oakland with her fiancÈe and two cats. Her work has been exhibited at Sotheby's, the Photographic Resource Center, Bernard Toale Gallery, the Carpenter Center for the Visual Arts, and at numerous other venues. Kubes is currently an instructor for both The Academy of Art College in San Francisco and UC Berkeley's Extension program. Her first solo exhibition on the West Coast will open in February 2000 at the UC Extension Gallery in San Francisco.
